Rider Stories – Tracy Taylor

Get to know our WENZ members in this feature news on rider stories.

This rider story features Tracy Taylor, based in Marlborough, who is also a founding member of WENZ, Inc.  Tracy writes that there are several Working Equitation enthusiasts in Marlborough and they have organised workshops with Sarah Blackburn to progress their learning. Tracy is aiming to advance her Icelandic horses through the grades and wants to see more Icelandics involved in Working Equitation.

My Working Equitation experience so far…

4 years, currently at Intro level.

My other equestrian interests are…

Dressage.

My Equine Partner is…

an Icelandic horse.

I got into Working Equitation because…

it is good for both horse and rider. It’s fun. And because the horse is judged according to it’s breed.

Working Equitation is helping us…

teach young ones courage and trust in me.

Something I found surprising about Working Equitation was…

that the horse us judged on its ability within its breed.
